Beverly Hill Cop: meh

Since I was too young when it came out, I never (attentively) watch this movie. Now that I did, I realized I didn't miss much...

Axel Foley is a cop in Detroit that was formely a petty thief. His method are rather unorthodox but he's still seen as a promising detective. One day, a former criminal friend is killed before his eyes, and he vows to find his killers. So he takes a vacation to Beverly HIlls, where he suspects he might find some clues...

This movie is your typical 80s movie: incompetent cops (except for the main character), unrealistic action sequences, the rich guy is the bad guy and gratuitous nudity. It's not really my thing. Also, most of the gags weren't that funny to me (but did for most people, considering it spawned THREE sequels).

Although, it was funny to see Foley stick out like asore thumb in Beverly HIlls (although Julia Roberts did it better) and how by-the-book they were

But, it did spawn two of the most memorable songs from that era for me: Axel F and The Heat is on, which you abundantly hear throughout.

In short, you will enjoy this movie if Eddie Murphy is your type of humor. If not, you won' t miss much
