Wordsmiths Fiction Week 1: The Disappeared Leader
'Listen up everyone, having searched for Captain Jack in the nearby surroundings without any trace of him, all we need do is to just search farther away. But this time, only 3 members will go in search while the rest remains here to wait in case he returns. I am pretty sure that he is safe wherever he has gone to. Missing along with one of the boats simply suggests to me that he had gone to look for help or what do you think, Fred?' said Frank, the second in command.
'Well, I think you are right. He must have gone to look for help. He is the most self-sacrificing leader I have ever moved with. He doesn't want us to wonder without help but he could have just told us where he was going to or perhaps, go with one of us. Anyways, I trust his decisions '... Fred replied
I don't agree with you both. We need to go and continue the search. He must be in danger without help. I know him too well, he can't just leave intentionally without telling us. I will suggest we search for him. Who knows if he has drowned in the ocean, who knows if a wild animal or big fish has eaten him up, who knows if he is still alive? My mind isn't at rest at the moment - Judge said.
Others said so many different things and there was an uproar in their camp. But the second in command, Frank made efforts to calm everyone down and in the end, he sent 3 persons to go in search using the other boat. While others remained around to welcome the leader in case he comes back. The ones that had gone in further search for him were given time frame to return so that they won't miss them.
The search and the wait went on for about 2 days. They were all worried. Even the other 3 that went in search for him hadn't returned, adding to the worries of those in the camp. Frank became confused, wondering what to do next. Suddenly, a boat appeared at a distance. Frank was the first to see it and called on others to take a look. Behold, it was a boat. They all shouted on top of their voices, calling for help. Who could that be? They all wandered!
As the boat approached them, so many things ran through their minds
Could it be rescuers?
Could it be Jack?
What if it's a rescue boat, and Jack Isn't with them? Well, they will assist us look for him.
What if it's Jack? Let's just wait and see
But what about these other 3 that went in search? I pray they return soon.
Soon, they were able to identify the boat that it is one of the ones that was missing with Jack. Wow! There is goodnews, Jack is here with a rescue team. Jack is safe and sound. They all hugged and cheered each other up.
You see what I was saying all along, that Jack had gone to look for help. I was right. But you could have told us when leaving Jack, you kept us worried.
I am sorry friends, I couldn't just watch everyone suffer, I had to quickly go look for help since This place was a bit familiar, I knew I wasn't going to miss at all. Anyways, I am here now. Let's get going. What about.......?
Fred interrupted, you mean..? He mentioned the name of the 3 that had gone to look for him and just while he was still talking, they appeared. They returned tired and exhausted but at the sight of Jack. They were excited and happy. At least, you are safe, they said. Where did you go to? They asked Jack.
Jack started narrating his disappearance. According to him, he left with one of the boats immediately they made it to the island and when everyone was tired and fast asleep. As the leader, he couldn't close his eyes. He was worried that since their radio was damaged, it will be difficult to get help and he didn't want to wake anyone up from sleep. He decided to just move about, not intending to go far anyways but he suddenly went very far away that it was difficult for him to trace his way back. He couldn't help it but kept moving forward. He finally saw a rescue team after a long sail and happily, they were willing to come with him but because they were busy trying to rescue another cargo that had sunk in the ocean due to that stormy weather, he had to join them and that delayed his coming quickly. He had wanted to contact them but remembered that their radio was badly damaged.
Well, no need for much explanations, everything is clear. Everyone is safe and with the rescue team with them, they are sure to get back safe. They rejoiced and quickly went home.

Se nota que todos los marineros estaban dispuestos a ayudarse. Ese sentimiento de compañerismo se evidencia en el texto. Me encantó leerte. Suerte.
Yes, they were all willing to help and perhaps, because they were all good people, that was why the captain or the leader took it upon himself to go in search for rescue team, allowing the rest to remain behind. Thank you for reading through
There's lot of sacrifices that is attached to being a leader in anything, imagine the inconvenience they made the leader to go through in order to make sure everyone is rescued. I'm glad they were rescued at last. What an amazing fictional story.
Captains are self-sacrificing by nature and they rather die than let anyone die in the event of stormy weather else, everyone dies. I am glad that everything ended on a good note despite the struggles they went through
