Map the Story #2 : Camazzole Pond - a beautiful oasis for animals - Italy

In the municipality of Carmignano di Brenta in the province of Padua there is a beautiful natural lake that was formed by the abandonment of a former gravel quarry, and in this place you can see firsthand how nature can regenerate a place once abused by man

In fact, this place has become very popular also thanks to social media that in some way have renamed it the "Maldives of Veneto" for the color of the turquoise and transparent water.
I have been there several times, mostly because I like how a Flora and fauna that is developing a lot has been recreated, but honestly I have never bathed in this lake, surely you were there it can be a great place to cool off on hot summer days.

The color of its water is due to the bottom of the lake which is composed of stones and light gravel therefore a calcareous gravel that somehow reflects the sunlight, and therefore makes its waters very beautiful.

The water is quite pure and filtered and most likely it is some aquifer that comes from the nearby Brenta river, but I must say that even in summer it is very cool and therefore the temperature is quite low.

It is called Lago di Camazzole because it takes its name from the place that is nearby and to access this place you have to take a short dirt path that starts practically from the main road where you leave your car.

In fact there is no official parking lot, cars are left a bit along the right-hand points and therefore during the weekend it is very difficult to find a place to park and unfortunately fines are very frequent for the no parking sign.

Honestly, when I go there I go mainly to relax and sunbathe on the banks of white stones, I have never ventured to swim in the lake because the water is very deep and cold and therefore this can certainly cause shock and you have to be very good at swimming.

I have to say that it is nice that there are these places, that even if they are private property they can be used by everyone to relax for a bit of fun and relaxation, but they can also be the right places for photography lovers.
